Blaney Harper practices patent, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, and copyright law. He has extensive experience representing clients in federal courts throughout the United States and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the International Trade Commission. Blaney has appeared on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants and many of the cases in which he has appeared involve substantial patent portfolios concerning cutting-edge technologies and legal claims. Blaney also has extensive industrial experience in technical and legal capacities. He has written and prosecuted numerous patents and developed patent portfolios on strategic technologies. He was the prosecuting attorney for a patent recognized by Corporate Counsel magazine as one of the 10 most influential patents in IBM's portfolio over the last 10 years. Blaney provides strategic business and license-related counseling for clients in a wide variety of technical areas. His technical background includes semiconductor circuitry design and fabrication, memory design computer architecture, data compression, medical diagnostic equipment, image processing telecommunication devices, wireless communication technologies database processing, and software associated with these areas.
