Our business restructuring & reorganization team represents debtors, creditors, and other parties in bankruptcy restructurings and other matters involving financially distressed entities. Our litigation practice was the first recipient of the American Lawyer's "Litigation Department of the Year" award, in 2002, and was a finalist again in 2004. A significant part of our practice deals with complex, multidistrict litigation and coordinated state law proceedings involving multiple adversaries. Most of our litigators are "general practitioners" in the trial practice section, where they can work on a wide variety of litigation matters, often in tandem with lawyers from more specialized practices of the Firm.

Our antitrust and competition lawyers represent major corporations in merger review proceedings and criminal and civil investigations before the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice, the European Commission, and national competition authorities throughout Europe and Asia. We also provide a full range of counseling on competition issues, and our competition lawyers work closely with members of the litigation practice in a wide variety of antitrust litigation.
