David Horan focuses on appellate litigation and analyzing and briefing complex issues before federal and state courts at all levels. He has extensive appellate experience and has conducted oral argument before federal and state courts of appeals and federal trial courts. David's practice extends to all aspects of litigation, and he has substantial experience litigating class action issues and challenges to arbitration awards.

For the last several years, David has been a member of a team of Firm lawyers representing Expedia, Hotels.com, and Hotwire in dozens of putative class action and individual lawsuits by municipalities and consumers regarding online travel companies' hotel occupancy tax recovery charges and service fees. He is lead counsel in a federal sentencing appeal that the Supreme Court of the United States will hear on the merits in October 2010. David also was lead counsel in a successful appellate representation in which the Fifth Circuit decided a civil RICO issue of first impression. In recent years, he has represented on appeal Firm clients including CBS, First American Title Insurance, National Heritage Insurance (a subsidiary of Electronic Data Systems Corporation), and R.J. Reynolds.

David has published multiple articles and given several presentations on appellate and criminal law matters. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. David has been named a "Texas Rising Star" every year since 2005 and was listed in D Magazine's "Best Lawyers Under 40" issue in May 2006.
