Since opening in 1985, the Irvine Office has grown from five lawyers to more than 45 lawyers.  Jones Day lawyers in Orange County provide legal advice and services to the Firm’s local, national, and international clients in a broad range of areas including corporate and securities, employment counseling, intellectual property, real estate, and trial representation.

We combine Jones Day’s international platform with our profound knowledge of the Southern California market and specific industries to provide superior representation for clients with complex challenges.  As integral members of Jones Day’s global transactional practices, our Irvine based corporate lawyers advise clients on all facets of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, private and public equity and debt offerings, corporate finance, lending, restructuring, corporate governance, proxy contests, executive compensation, and securities law compliance.  Our Irvine based trial lawyers represent clients in civil lawsuits, arbitrations, governmental investigations, and criminal matters.  Our health care attorneys advise and represent clients in disputes with both governmental and private entities.  Our intellectual property attorneys provide both advice and dispute services to clients who require assistance with respect to patents, copyrights, and trademarks.  Our employment attorneys counsel clients and represent them in litigation.  Our clients range from large, established publicly-traded corporations to emerging start-ups.  Because Jones Day is One Firm Worldwide, our Irvine clients reap the benefit of our global reach, management structure, and integrated technologies, which permit us to respond seamlessly to their needs, unhampered by geographic and practice boundaries.

We are as committed to our Orange County community as we are to our clients.  We offer summer internship positions in our Irvine Office to local high school students from low to moderate income families through the Project SELF program; teach local middle school students the fundamentals of the Bill of Rights in conjunction with the Federal Bar Association; and coach and judge local high school mock trial teams sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation.  Our Irvine lawyers serve on boards of directors and in other volunteer positions for numerous public service organizations, and every Irvine lawyer has made a personal financial commitment to the Public Law Center, Orange County's pro bono law firm.
