John A. Vogt

In his 25 years of practice, John has defended hundreds of class actions in courts across the country and is one of the few lawyers that has tried a certified class action. His experience covers every aspect of cybersecurity and privacy. He has led the defense of class actions arising from some of the largest and most sophisticated cyber attacks in the United States; he defends clients in mass arbitration; he regularly litigates claims under state and federal wiretap laws involving the use of chat bots, session-replay technology, pixels, and web beacons; he defends class claims under nearly every state and federal privacy and consumer protection statute, including the Stored Communications Act, the Wiretap Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Electronic Funds Transfer Act.
