Mat Hanaut is a commercial, resources, and mining lawyer with 15 years experience in major law firms in France and Australia. Mat advises foreign companies in their Australian and Pacific region investments and operations. His practice is particularly focused on cross-border M&A transactions in Australia and the Pacific region involving various jurisdictions and complex legal issues.
Regarding the French Pacific Territories, Mat and his team of French qualified lawyers based in Sydney use their experience jointly with the Jones Day Paris Office to serve clients involved in mining, industrial, and tourism projects in New Caledonia and French Polynesia. Mat also acts for international companies involved in major litigation in Australia and in the Pacific region.
