The Pittsburgh Office of Jones Day offers a full range of legal services, with approximately sixty lawyers representing clients in litigation, transactions, labor and employment, environmental, insurance, aviation, construction and intellectual property matters. Our attorneys utilize the tremendous resources of a global firm to deliver world-class representation to a local, national and international client base. Opened in 1989, the Pittsburgh Office blends the advantages of a global legal presence with the immediacy only a local firm can bring.
The Pittsburgh Office has a deep roster of experienced trial attorneys who appear in scores of state and federal courts around the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Our lawyers have been involved in landmark verdicts in matters of national importance and have handled international arbitrations throughout the world. Our transactional, insurance, environmental, and IP lawyers work with a client base that spans the spectrum from start up ventures to Fortune 50 companies, operating domestically and globally. The labor and employment group has been involved in some of the most high-profile labor, restructuring, and class action matters in the country. On a daily basis, our Pittsburgh lawyers work closely with attorneys in other Jones Day offices throughout the world to deliver seamless client service around the globe.
For more than two decades, the attorneys of the Pittsburgh Office have assisted in the rebirth of Pittsburgh as an international commercial, cultural and civic center. Jones Day served on the host committee when the G-20 met in Pittsburgh in 2009 and our attorneys occupy leadership positions in a broad range of civic and nonprofit organizations, impacting the art, human service, business, political, and educational communities. We were recently honored as co-law firm of the year for pro bono in Allegheny County. Jones Day lawyers also were instrumental in the establishment of a free health clinic for underserved populations, developing a model that is being considered by other cities throughout the country.
