Rich Avil's practice focuses on regulatory counseling of energy delivery and power companies, other energy companies, and service companies on a breadth of matters including rates, new services, competition, and regulatory compliance. Rich is experienced in the regulatory components of mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions in the energy industry. His practice also concentrates on administrative and appellate litigation at the state and federal level. Representative clients in recent public matters include: CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission Company, Mississippi River Transmission Corporation, and various subsidiaries of SCANA Corporation.
