Rob Ducatman practices in the areas of litigation and intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, unfair competition, trade secrets, covenants not to compete, and employment contracts. He has considerable experience in the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations area, patent and trademark infringement matters, trade secrets enforcement and defense, employment agreement enforcement and defense, commercial litigation, and cybersquatting.
His significant clients include: Agassi Enterprises, Baltimore Ravens, Bridgestone/Firestone, Cleveland Catholic Diocese, First American Title Insurance Company, Hancor, International Paper Company, National Football League Properties, The Procter & Gamble Company, The Scott Fetzer Company, The Thomas Kinkade Company, Synopsys, Textron, and The Timken Company.
Rob is a member of the Judge Anthony J. Celebrezze Inn of Court and former chairman of the RICO Subcommittee of the Trial Practice Committee of the American Bar Association. He frequently lectures on trade secrets issues, restrictive covenants, and civil RICO matters. He authored jury instructions for the Ohio Judicial Conference for actions brought under the Ohio Corrupt Activities Act (RICO) and has coauthored numerous articles with Jones Day Partner, Kenneth R. Adamo, related to the use of RICO in intellectual property matters, as well as inequitable conduct before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
