Transportation Product Liability Litigation

Our role in defending products litigation against manufacturers of planes, trains, and automobiles has been unremitting since the 1960s.

We advocate for the automotive industry, trucking, bus and rail companies, and the aviation and aerospace sectors. We defend companies that manufacture, design, and distribute component parts in these markets, or service component parts incorporated into related products. In the automotive industry, we have defended clients in air bag, electronic control, engine fire, seat belt, and wheel rim litigation. In the rail sector, we have counseled and represented companies in catastrophic train crashes and in railroad-related toxic spills. Lawyers in the U.S. and abroad have worked together to represent clients in commercial air crash disasters from Singapore to Seattle. We have persuaded courts and juries to reach manufacturer friendly rulings under the General Aviation Revitalization Act, and have won jury trials arising out of airframe and engine parts relating to general aviation.
