Zack Paris practices in the areas of real estate development, corporate real estate services, and the hospitality industry. He has experience representing developers in most aspects of commercial and industrial ownership and development, including the acquisition of undeveloped land and the installation of improvements for office and industrial parks and shopping centers, the construction and leasing of buildings, the negotiation of reciprocal easement agreements for shopping centers, the acquisition of existing buildings and portfolios, and providing financing through conventional loans, tax-exempt bonds, and equity syndications. The developer clients Zack frequently represents include Forest City Enterprises, Developers Diversified Realty Corporation, Ray Fogg Building Methods, and Robert L. Stark Enterprises.
Zack's corporate real estate services work focuses on meeting the real estate needs of corporations and other institutions whose core business is outside the real estate industry. Among other things, he has been involved in corporate headquarters development projects, ground leases for large industrial properties, and leases and financings for airport expansion projects. Corporate clients for whom Zack has provided legal services include General Motors Corporation and Continental Airlines.
Zack also serves as co-leader of the Firm's hospitality practice. He has been involved in most major aspects of the hotel industry, including the acquisition, sale, and/or financing of individual hotels and hotel portfolios; the master leasing of hotel portfolios from REITs; the negotiation and implementation of multilender credit facilities for hotel operators; and the negotiation of hotel management agreements and franchise agreements.
