Katherine Blair Joins Jones Day’s Los Angeles Office as partner in Financial Markets Practice

The global law firm Jones Day announced today that Katherine Blair has joined the Firm as a Partner in its Financial Markets Practice. She is based in Los Angeles.

Ms. Blair has nearly 30 years of experience advising clients on corporate, securities, finance, IPOs, venture capital, and M&A matters. She works with both public and private companies, entrepreneurs, boards of directors, investment banks and investors in a broad range of transactions, including private offerings, and secondary, registered-direct, at-the-market, PIPE and Reg A+ offerings. Ms. Blair has particular experience advising clients on SEC compliance, filings and disclosures, corporate governance, tender offers, going-private transactions and stockholder matters, including proxy proposals, and contests.

At Jones Day, Ms. Blair joins a team of nearly 320 lawyers worldwide in the Financial Markets Practice, who advise clients on the full range of complex cross-border financial transactions, regulatory matters, investigations and litigation. Jones Day has helped clients close more than $1 trillion in financing transactions over the last five years, including many precedent-setting financings. The Firm’s Financial Markets Practice represents a diverse client base of global financial institutions, issuers, borrowers, funds, asset managers, and fintech companies.

Ms. Blair also leverages her deep knowledge of securities laws to advise clients on how to navigate state and federal regulatory matters with the SEC, FINRA, NYSE, NYSE American, and Nasdaq.

Ms. Blair earned her law degree from Pepperdine Law School and her undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego.
