Client(s) Japanese multi-level marketing company

Jones Day represented a Japanese multi-level marketing company in connection with administrative sanctions by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) due to allegedly unlawful solicitation by its members. We drafted and submitted a letter of explanation to the METI in defense of the sanction according to the Administrative Case Litigation Act and advised the client on proper public relations activities and compliance.
