Freescale defends against claims of patent infringement brought by Tessera before ITC
Client(s) Freescale Semiconductor, Inc.
Jones Day represented Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. as Respondent in an investigation alleging patent infringement of Tessera patents relating to packaging of semiconductor devices. A Final Hearing was held before the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) in July 2008, and the ALJ issued an Initial Determination finding of no infringement in December 2008. Tessera petitioned for review of the Initial Determination by the full Commission. The Commission reversed the ALJ's finding of non-infringement, and issued a Final Determination and Limited Exclusion Order in May 2009. The case is currently on appeal before the Federal Circuit.
