Motorola settles patent infringement suit with Zoltar involving self-locating cellular GPS technology
Client(s) Motorola, Inc.
Jones Day defended Motorola, Inc. against allegations of infringing patents relating to self-locating cellular telephone technology. The patents-in-suit relate to global positioning systems. The case was transferred from the Eastern District of Texas to the Northern District of California. After a Markman hearing and issuance of a partial claim construction order, the case settled on mutually agreeable terms.
