Dana Corporation resolves dispute with major supplier

Client(s) Dana Corporation

Jones Day represented Dana Corporation and certain of its subsidiaries in their chapter 11 cases. The arbitration, which was authorized by the bankruptcy court, involved a dispute with one of Dana's largest component parts suppliers over a series of complex, long-term requirements contracts for the supply of approximately $200 million of product per year in the United States and Mexico. Following the arbitration hearing, the arbitrator denied or severely limited the majority of the supplier's claims. The favorable ruling paved the way for the negotiation of a new long-term contract with the supplier.
