Sensus defends against patent infringement claims brought by EON Corp. involving smart grid technology

Client(s) Sensus Metering Systems Inc.

Jones Day represented Sensus USA, Inc. and Sensus Metering Systems, Inc. in a patent infringement action related to smart grid power technology. Smart grid technologies provide advanced, environmentally-friendly power management and conservation solutions to the utility industry, allowing utilities to monitor consumer electricity use in real time, and to regulate that use for efficiency while preventing brownouts and power outages. The case settled.
