Jones Day is defending Sensus USA, Inc. and Sensus Metering Systems, Inc. in a patent infringement case related to smart grid power technology. Smart grid technologies provide advanced, environmentally-friendly power management and conservation solutions to the utility industry, allowing utilities to monitor consumer electricity use in real time, and to regulate that use for efficiency while preventing brownouts and power outages.
