Signature Capital acquires Neumarkt-Galerie through bidding process

Jones Day advised Signature Capital Limited, an Ireland-based private equity firm, in connection with the acquisition of the Neumarkt-Galerie mixed-use complex in downtown Cologne out of insolvency from the insolvency administrator Dr. Jörg Nehrlich of Goerg through a bidding process conducted by CB Richard Ellis. The approximately 33,000 sqm center at the entrance to the Schildergasse pedestrian zone has more than 60 stores and restaurants in addition to commercial and medical office space. The downtown trophy building with an annual rent roll in the order of €8.5 million was sold at an undisclosed purchase price.
