Jones Day reached a settlement for The Nielsen Company in a patent infringement action brought in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia against its competitor, comScore, Inc. Nielsen and comScore are the two main competitors in the online measurement business. The suit, brought by Nielsen, alleged infringement by comScore for technologies and computer applications and software related to online measurement systems and activity reports generated by the data from those systems.
