Potash Corporation wins motion to dismiss

Jones Day represented Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, Inc. in a lawsuit brought by an insurer in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois seeking a declaratory judgment against Potash Corporation in connection with an insurance claim made by a subsidiary of Potash Corporation, which was the subject of a lawsuit Potash Corporation filed by the subsidiary in state court in Florida earlier that same day. Potash Corporation filed a motion to dismiss the federal action, asserting lack of subject matter jurisdiction and lack of personal jurisdiction. The trial court granted the motion to dismiss with prejudice.
