Major multinational corporations receive advice on cross-border investment filings to BEA

Jones Day advised major multinational corporations, private equity firms, and strategic acquirors on the filing requirements and analysis of submission data for the cross-border direct investment surveys administered by the Bureau of Economic Analysis ("BEA"). In particular, the Firm alerted its clients of change in the regulations that made certain filings mandatory--a significant departure from the BEA's standard practice of requiring submissions only when selected and notified--and advocated for across-the-board extensions for filing the BE-10 survey of U.S. direct investment abroad, which the BEA granted.
