Madbox obtains ex parte preliminary injunction against a competitor regarding copycat video game on the AppStore

Jones Day obtained an ex parte preliminary injunction from the District Court of Berlin on behalf of Madbox SAS, a French video game developer, against a competitor for copyright infringement as part of a worldwide dispute between the parties. In reaction to Madbox's win, Apple withdrew the infringing game from the AppStore on its own initiative. In the three months the infringing game was on the market, it became the second bestselling game in the AppStore.
