Google, YouTube defend ten-patent lawsuit relating to video encoding and processing techniques

Jones Day defended Google LLC and YouTube LLC in a ten-patent case filed by Dynamic Data Technologies, LLC. The claims alleged that a range of Google and YouTube products and services infringed patents directed to video encoding and processing techniques. Following venue motion practice and discovery, the plaintiff agreed to Google's request to transfer the case from the Eastern District of Texas to the District of Delaware. Following the transfer, the District of Delaware granted Jones Day's partial motion to dismiss willfulness and infringement claims. The case was resolved thereafter.
