Burmese doctor is granted asylum

New York associates Bridget Crawford and Mahesh V. Parlikad, successfully represented Dr. P., a Burmese political activist and medical doctor, who was granted asylum in May 2009. Dr. P. is the son of one of the longest serving prisoners of conscience in Burma. Dr. P. recently earned a degree in public health in the United States and is now actively pursuing a career in the field of internal medicine.
