Volunteers participate in 2009-10 Edward J. Lewis II Lawyers in Classroom Program

Jones Day Chicago has partnered with the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago (CRFC) to work with area students in the 7th and 8th grades to help them understand the U.S. Constitution and our legal system. CRFC trains attorneys, provides dynamic, interactive teaching materials and partners attorneys with local schools. 20 Jones Day volunteers participated in this program in last year.

Participating attorneys attend a training program led by CRFC and are partnered with local schools. The attorney volunteers visit the partner schools at least three times during the academic year to work with students on lessons focused on the Bill of Rights as well as supervise a mock trial by the students.
