Abbott prevails in patent infringement action against Sandoz

Jones Day represented Abbott Laboratories ("Abbott") in a patent infringement action brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware against Sandoz, Inc. This action related to Sandoz's efforts to market a proposed generic version of Nimbex® – a popular drug marketed by Abbott for use as a skeletal muscle relaxant. Recently, the matter was resolved on terms favorable to Abbott.
