ConAgra, Cargill, and CHS form joint venture combining flour milling businesses to create new company, Ardent Mills

Client(s) ConAgra Foods, Inc.

Jones Day advised ConAgra Foods in a joint venture with Cargill Incorporated and CHS Inc. to form Ardent Mills, a new flour milling company that will serve customers in the baking and food industries. Jones Day also assisted ConAgra with a syndicated loan facility to finance the joint venture. ConAgra contributed its ConAgra Mills business, and Cargill and CHS contributed their Horizon Milling joint venture.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided antitrust, banking, employee benefits, real estate, and intellectual property advice regarding this transaction.
