Cedars-Sinai obtains dismissal of putative class action

Jones Day secured the dismissal of a putative class action brought against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center involving the practice of charging a facility fee to new patients. The plaintiff sought to state claims under the UCL and CLRA related to the fee. However, the Plaintiff had also executed a contract with Cedars-Sinai agreeing to pay the hospital for its charges. All claims were dismissed with prejudice.
