Verint Systems acquires KANA Software for $514 million

Jones Day advised Verint Systems Inc., a provider of Actionable Intelligence® solutions and value-added services, in connection with the acquisition and related financing of KANA Software, Inc., a portfolio company of Accel-KKR and a leader in customer service solutions delivered both on-premises and in the cloud, for $514 million. The acquisition revolutionizes customer engagement and empowers organizations to enhance customer loyalty, maximize revenue, reduce operational costs, and mitigate risk. The financing consisted of a $300 million senior secured incremental term loan.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided intellectual property, tax, and employee benefits advice regarding this transaction and advised on the financing related to the transaction.
