Texas Instruments resolves multimillion dollar breach of contract lawsuit
Client(s) Texas Instruments Incorporated
Jones Day successfully represented Texas Instruments in the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California in a multimillion dollar breach of contract lawsuit, alleging it had underpaid an outside sales representative, Infinity Sales, on commissions earned over the course of the parties' decade long relationship. Infinity Sales alleged that Texas Instruments breached the parties exclusive sales representative contract, had been unjustly enriched, and violated Texas and California's Independent Sales Representative Acts. The matter was resolved after lengthy litigation--including after nearly a dozen depositions and extensive written discovery--on a favorable basis for the client at mediation.
