Applied Medical Distribution Europe obtains settlement in dispute arising out of supply agreement with international distributor in Denmark

Jones Day obtained a settlement on behalf of client Applied Medical Distribution Europe ("AMDE") after commencing litigation in Orange County Superior Court for a dispute arising out of a supply agreement with an international distributor in Denmark. The suit was brought against Apgar, a former distributor of AMDE's surgical products, after Apgar threatened to interrupt existing and future customer relationships in Denmark and use AMDE customer and supply lists to benefit competitor manufacturers. AMDE negotiated a highly complex settlement that included non-monetary, equitable relief on a hospital-by-hospital basis that covered nearly two dozen hospital customers.
