Applied Medical Distribution Europe disputes unfair competition claims brought by former Italian distributor

Jones Day has been retained by Applied Medical Distribution Europe ("AMDE") to represent its interests in a dispute with a former distributor in Italy, Polimed S.R.L ("Polimed"). AMDE filed a complaint in the Civil Complex Division of the Orange County Superior Court after Polimed accused AMDE of engaging in unfair competition under Italian law and threatened AMDE and its employees with a lawsuit in Italy. AMDE brought a five count complaint seeking declaratory and other relief, including claims for breach of contract.
