Jones Day advised Flowers Foods, Inc. (NYSE: FLO) in its $275 million acquisition of AVB, Inc. (d/b/a Dave's Killer Bread). The transaction was accomplished through the purchase by Flowers of all the issued and outstanding shares of AVB, Inc. in exchange for $275 million in cash. AVB, Inc. produces organic, whole-grain bread and is based in Milwaukie, Oregon.
