Jones Day represented an academic medical center in connection with the formation of a company for the joint operation, with the local affiliate of a national health care system, of a new and unique inpatient unit focused exclusively on the acute care needs of elderly patients with multiple co-morbidities. The new unit is one of only a handful of its kind currently operating in the U.S.
