First lien lenders take majority ownership in RCS Capital chapter 11 case

Client(s) First Lien Lenders of RCS Capital

Jones Day represented a steering committee of first lien lenders in the RCS Capital Corp. chapter 11 cases filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The cases successfully concluded in May of 2016 confirming two plans of reorganization in the jointly administered cases in less than 90 days. The first lien lenders are the majority equity owners of the Reorganized Debtors as well as holders of $500 million of second lien paper.
