Hainan Airlines successfully resolves case arising from ground damage to aircraft

Client(s) Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd.

Jones Day represented Hainan Airlines, Co., Ltd., one of the largest air carriers in China, in federal court litigation filed against defendant Aviation Port Services. Hainan's complaint sought compensatory damages for breach of contract, negligence, and reckless and wanton misconduct for damages caused to the Airlines' aircraft during ground servicing at San Jose Airport. After defeating defendant's motion to dismiss, Jones Day successfully resolved the case for Hainan at mediation in San Francisco.
