Jones Day represented Mr. Wael Khoury in connection with one of the most significant pieces of international enforcement litigation in recent years. Munib Masri's enforcement of a USD75 million Commercial Court judgment against the CCC Group, Inc., involving underlying claims relating to alleged breaches of Lebanese law, was described as "a cause celebre in the English Courts" that precipitated a plethora of hearings before the Commercial Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords/Supreme Court; Burton J commented that "What might be called the Masri Jurisprudence could, by reference to hearings in courts in [the English] jurisdiction alone, almost fill an entire textbook, and indeed has given rise to a number of significant legal decisions of interest to the legal profession."
