Medical device manufacturer obtains dismissal with prejudice of product liability suit after motion to dismiss briefing

Client(s) Medical device manufacturer

Jones Day successfully defended a medical device manufacturer in a product liability suit alleging that the manufacturer's diabetes monitoring system was defective. Suit was brought by the widow of a diabetic who used our client's system to monitor his diabetes and who died in a car accident after allegedly suffering a diabetic event due to incorrect monitoring of his diabetes. The case was dismissed with prejudice after the motion to dismiss was fully briefed.
