Jones Day represented a publicly traded life sciences company in an internal investigation and resulting self-disclosure to the U.S. Department of Justice ("DOJ") and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") involving alleged Foreign Corrupt Practices Act ("FCPA") violations arising out of the company's China operations. Jones Day assisted the company in negotiating a civil, administrative settlement with the SEC and obtaining a declination from the DOJ.
