US Foods resolves class actions relating to fuel surcharges

Client(s) US Foods, Inc.

Jones Day successfully defended US Foods, Inc. in several putative consumer class actions alleging violations of state consumer protection statutes and unfair competition laws as well as fraud and contract claims based on allegations that fuel surcharges included on customer invoices for food deliveries were deceptive and fraudulent. The disputes came to successful resolution through settlement.
