Multinational Fortune 500 company resolves SEC accounting issues investigation and obtains declination from DOJ

Client(s) Multinational Fortune 500 company

Jones Day represented a multinational Fortune 500 company in a SEC and DOJ investigation regarding accounting issues related to multiple company projects in the U.S. and several countries around the world. In May 2023, DOJ informed the company that it was closing the investigation without any action against the company and in September 2023, SEC and the company entered into an administrative settlement. Separately, SEC entered into settlements with five former and current employees.
