Goldman Sachs acquires Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin from Blackstone

Jones Day advised Goldman Sachs in connection with the acquisition financing of the Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin from Blackstone. Goldman Sachs is part of a consortium of lenders which financed Blackstone’s original acquisition in 2016. Jones Day advised Goldman Sachs on the recapitalisation of the asset as well as the operating and management arrangements in respect of the centre, which is Ireland’s largest shopping centre. The acquisition received the approval of the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in December 2020 and completed in January 2021.
