Itron defeats patent infringement lawsuit relating to data transmission technology

Jones Day obtained dismissal of a patent infringement case brought against Itron prior to the exchange of discovery. The plaintiff accused Itron's OpenWay Integrated Cell Router of infringing a patent generally relating to the wireless transmission of data obtained from data sensors.
