The Flemish Community issues €1.25 billion Sustainability Bond

Jones Day assisted the Flemish Community, a federated entity of the Kingdom of Belgium, in connection with the issuance of a €1.25 billion 0.875% Sustainability Bond due March 21, 2046. The net proceeds of the issue of the Sustainability Bond will be used to finance or refinance eligible expenditures that have environmental and social benefits: energy efficiency in buildings, affordable housing, access to education, and pollution prevention and control. The bonds will be listed on Euronext Brussels.
