Jones Day advised the Deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgiens (German-speaking Community of Belgium) on the set-up of their inaugural €1 billion EMTN Programme for issue of notes. The Deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgiens is a federated entity of the Kingdom of Belgium, located in the eastern part of Belgium, somewhere between Liège (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany). It is one of the most dynamic regions of Belgium. Notes qualifying as green bonds, social bonds, and sustainability bonds may be issued under the Programme on the basis of a framework established by the Issuer and subject to a review by a third party. Notes may be listed on Euronext Brussels and on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
