Jones Day filed amicus briefs on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States and other trade associations in cases challenging the decisions by state governors to end participation to accept federal supplemental unemployment benefits. The Chamber’s amicus briefs support the decisions by state governors, explaining that while the benefits were important earlier in the pandemic, they are now hindering economic recovery by suppressing the labor market.
