Civil rights organization files amicus brief in Fourth Amendment case
Client(s) Nonprofit civil rights organization
Jones Day filed an amicus brief on behalf of a nonprofit civil rights organization in support of certiorari in a case raising a Fourth Amendment challenge to an arrest that occurred in the area immediately in front of a tenant’s apartment unit. The brief argues that this area would be viewed as the tenant’s curtilage at common law and is therefore protected under the Fourth Amendment today.
