RingConn defends against patent infringement claims before the ITC involving smart wearable devices

Client(s) RingConn LLC and Shenzhen Ninevovo Technology Ltd.

Jones Day is defending respondents RingConn LLC and Shenzhen Ninevovo Technology Ltd. in a Section 337 patent infringement investigation before the ITC brought by complainants Ouraring, Inc. and OuraHealth Oy. The technology at issue relates to wearable health monitoring devices, including finger-wearable devices. Complainants initially asserted two patents, but dropped one of them after Jones Day served its non-infringement and invalidity contentions. Only one asserted patent remains in the case. The evidentiary hearing was held in December 2024 and the decision is pending.
