Zack Austin litigates for clients through all stages of their high-stakes matters.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2024, Zack served as a law clerk to Judge Justin R. Walker of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and Judge Britt C. Grant of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Before graduating from Yale Law School, Zack worked for several years in national security policy. As a co-chair of the Valor Medals Review Task Force, he built a coalition of 26 Military & Veterans Service organizations — representing nearly five million constituents — to conduct a systematic review of World War One veterans denied the Medal of Honor for racial or religious reasons. Congress ultimately authorized the project through federal legislation in 2019.
In 2022, Zack won the Federalist Society Article I Initiative writing contest for authors under 40.
